You can get pregnant anytime. The best advice to relax, enjoy and practise at least every two days. That gives you the best chance of timing it with your ovulating.
Don't buy any ovulation test strips. They don't always work and just stress you out.
Good luck!

I would say that would depend on your circumstances. Are you old enough to be thinking about having children, Do you have a good job that will provide for a baby, and are you in a stable relationship? A child needs love, yes, but also stability. I'm not knocking one parent families but personally I wouldn't have children unless I knew I was in a loving relationship and a good job. Too many young girls are getting themselves pregnant these days and cleverly ending up with a brand new house and no concept of how to bring up a child, it's so infuriating when those of us who work hard are paying for them!! I think 27/28 is a lovely age to have children, and those woman over 35 I would say just be careful as having babies over a certain age can be quite dangerous for you and your child xx

Ovulation occurs 14 days after the first day of your last peiod. Say you started your menstrual period September the 1st, you would begin ovulation at Sept. 14th and this can continue for 2 days. Signs of ovulation are slight cramping, more clear and slippery fluid (vaginal secretions) and sometimes can be pulled into strings. You may also experience a stronger sexual desire. There is a book that I strongly recommend, called What To Expect When Youre Expecting. It clearly states, 14 days after the first day of your last period. This is also how due dates are determined. The ob-gyn will use a calendar "wheel" and count the 14 days and then give you an estimate within the 48 hour range.

The right time is 15 days after your period, count the first day of your period as day 1 then on day 15-16 you will be ovulating. I tried for a baby for over a year without success then when the doctor told me about the 'right time' i conceived instantly. Good luck xx

It depends on the context of oyur question, but I would think the best time is whenever you are ready and your partner is going to be a stable and supportive part of the picture. Planning is key and if you are wondering about the technical side of things, use an ovuation calculator or reference books or ask a doctor what you can do to prepare and to concieve. However, if you don't feel like it is the reight time for you in your life or in your partners life, then don't make the decision until you know for sure. It is a scary decision, but don't let that stop you either.

See how long your cycle is, you're looking at halfway between the first day of your last period and the day before your next as the theoretical ovulation date.
I would recommend ovulation tests as they allow you not to miss the date and have good healthy fun baby making sex rather than stressed out "is this the right time?" sex.
You take the test, you know you will be fertile within 24 to 36 hours, plenty of time to make a nice "appointment" with Papa!
Good luck!

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Ovulation usually occurs14 days before the start of your next period.
Ovulation
The Key to Conception!
Predicting ovulation is an important key to conceiving.
Learn the physical changes our bodies go through
just prior to ovulation
DEFINITIONS:
Ova = Egg
Ovary = Organ that holds eggs
Ovulation = Release of egg
Estrogen = Hormone produced by ovaries
Fertilization = Sperm meets Egg
Before ovulation, estrogen levels rise.
High estrogen levels:
lower BBT (basal body temperature);
changes CM (cervical mucus) to EW (eggwhite);
changes CP (cervical position); and
triggers LH surge (luteinizing hormone).
OPKs (Ovulation Predictor Kits) detect
the surge of LH (luteinizing hormone) hormone.
24-36 hours after the LH surge
ovulation usually occurs!
Ovulation is the term used to describe
the process of an egg(s) being released from the ovary
24 hours after ovulation,
the egg must be fertilized
(sperm penetrates egg and begins cell division
which is the beginning of baby's life).
To become pregnant,
intercourse is recommended
within 2 days after the LH surge
(positive OPK).
Note: If your menstrual cycle is typically
longer than 40 days or shorter than 21 days,
you should consult your physician for the recommended day to start testing,
You may test at any time of the day at your convenience,
however, late afternoon seems to be the most popular time.
You should test at approximately the same time each day.
Do not consume an excess amount of liquid for at
least 4 hours prior to performing the test,
to avoid the dilution of LH in your urine.
Last but not least
you may want to consider learning about your
Lunar Ovulation
reports are available in the TTC Store.
Astrology dictates that
you are fertile
when the moon and sun are in the same position
as they were at time of your birth.
