from personal experience I say pinches nerve or degenerative disc..get to see a Dr asap.. I had a similar complaint and I let it go for some time and I ended up having to have a back fusion with 27 titanium rods in my back..I can walk now and function relatively normal but it was a long road back to health..get help so you don't have to suffer a worse circumstance

Sounds like you pulled your muscles. Try resting it for a day or 2 avoiding making it hurt. Sit or lay in ways it is not strained. If not gone or reduced in about 2 days I would seek professional advise you may have torn something.

Probably a pinched nerve, does the pain shoot down your leg? If it does it might be sciatica , talk to your doctor.
Also, the hump on your back could be anything, and it might not be related unless you have a tumor or serious swelling causing the nerve to be pinched. o_O

I HAVE THE EXACT PROBLEM. IT IS YOUR SCIATIC NERVE. HOWEVER, YOU MUST GO TO A PROFESSIONAL AND GET AN MRI TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS.
ONCE DIAGNOSED, THE DOCTOR CAN PRESCRIBE ANY NECESSARY MEDICATIONS, PHYSICAL THERAPY AND ANY OTHER TREATMENTS THAT WILL HELP YOU.
OTHERWISE YOU WILL WALK AROUND IN AGONY FOR NO REASON WHEN THERE IS HELP JUST A STONES TROW AWAY.
GOOD LUCK!! BARBARA.

At first it sounded like appendix but the lump doesn't sound right = but in any case I would see a doctor as soon as possible.

I'd see a doctor before the matter worsens but it could possibly be a damaged lower lumbarsacral muscle.
