For cheapest price, Home Depot or Lowes. For best selection and higher prices, go to a lighting/fan specialty store.

I have purchased 2 ceiling fans from Home Depot over the past 5 years and have found them to have a large selection and very reasonable prices. Lowes usually has a good selection, as well, but prices are a bit higher than Home Depot - at least in my area.

Home depot has a big selection. As far as Home Depot vs Lowes - look for whichever is running a sale on those fans. Lots of places carry them but their selections are not usually s large. For fancy ones look at what EXPO (the high end part of Home Depot chain) has - there's are usually the most striking in appearance.

Depends on what you are looking for.
Standard, run of the mill ceiling fans then Lowes or Home Depot.
My wife had a specific style / brand in mind and I did a bit f research on the internet and found CNS Ceiling Fans. They have a nice selection and had the best price - plus free ground shipping.
I have not yet received the fan - just ordered it this weekend, but they seem pretty good.

Yes.. they are sold at Sears, Penneys.. I have purchased 5 in the past 1 1/2 year but I got them at EXPO and also I sent away to lightingdirect.com... they have a fantastic variety of fans. If you did not want to go this route(lightingdirect.com or Expo), then Lowe's or Home Depot are your best bet.

Check out a lamp/light fixture store. Prices may be a little higher, but they often run some really good specials. AND, they will have a good selection and good quality. Sometimes the "discount stores" are the most expensive places to buy stuff.

Go to an electrical wholesalers for the best choice. They may not stock them but will be able to find a wide choice. But you really dont want one unless its for a conservatory. Nobody uses them, and usually have them taken down again. But if you go ahead with it make sure you can get a goog ceiling fixing first. You dont want it coming down while its on
