There is nothing in our society that is an actualy age of manhood. Unlike many other cultures who have initiation rights and celebration of certain birthdays, we have little to tell a man when he is a man. Perhaps thats the problem with men today.

A boy becomes a man when he shows he is a responsible individual who instead of complaining will take action and rectify a situation. A man is one who is not afraid to do what is right and will help those less fortunate then himself. As it stands now, there are many adult boys in the world, but only a few adult men.

I think the wisest answer to this question is the one offered by St Paul -

'When I was a child I thought as a child and acted as a child, but when I became a man I put away childish things'.

It all depends on the mind not the age . a boy becomes a man when he thinks and believes that he can handle big things. It all depends on MENTAL DEVELOPEMENT.

when he starts thinking, acting, talking like a man. thinking as if he realizes he has a life to live and must plan ahead for his future takes up his responsibilities and is not afraid of work, acting like he knows what he wants and will work to get it, talking like he knows himself and not to forget a guy that treats a girl right from day one will always be classified as a man.

When he supports himself financially. Emotionally he is a man when he makes his own decisions, accepts responsibility for his own actions and is capable of correcting errors in judgement.

When he starts assuming responsibility, take life serious enough to know whats right and what isn't, being responsible for his own actions. Sometimes none of this ever occurs.
