They live in the pipes. There isn't much you can do about it as the occasional bug might crawl up through the sewer system. If it happens frequently, there could be an infestation near your home.

Your cat is the best protection against these crawlies anyway :) They may be crawling in through the drain or through cracks in the floor if you are on the ground level. If this is the only time it happend, I wouldn't worry about it.

I found one in my tub the other day and I actually got my cat interested in it. The centipede didn't last long! These things can fit anywhere so I just live with 'em. I see one perhaps once a month and it doesn't seem serious enough to want to expose myself and two cats to any chemicals.

I had also several ones in the house. There are very dangerous and their sting is like a snakebite. I found later a place in the ground where they were 'nesting'. The place was burnt down and sofar I didn't see any... Take care !!

I wouldn't worry about it ... they eat other insects, such as cockroaches and flies. Finding a centipede in your house is really rare- there is no cause to take any action against it.

Call pest control and let them know that you have a cat so they would avoid spraying where the cat could come in contact with it.
