Not clear what your problem is? Are you a UK citizen who can't find somewhere to rent? Is everywhere too expensive? Or are you looking for some form of subsidised housing. have you worked hard and saved money to put down a deposit like many of us have had to do?

You need big wonga [cash] to get started. Take my house as an example. When I bought this house a mere ten years ago, it cost me £116,000. I sold my previous property and took a £12,000 in this property. I have paid off the £12,000 mortgage and own my house outright. My house is now valued at £400,000. The price of houses in the London area is set to increase by around [average] of £20,000 per year. The coming Olympics in 2012 is pushing up prises as more and more people will want to buy to rent out for the games. There is no easy answer to your question. Housing like any other saleable product is available to buy, usually to the highest bidder.

I think it's just about housing in general.
Well, I don't know. Housing hasn't been a problem for me- maybe the people coming from abroad cast their "nets" wider, and thus are more successful. I know from experience that most landlords look favourably upon non-foreigners, so that can't be it.

It's all the fault of the immigrants. As all 3 major parties support staying in the EU - who are the people forcing these "asylum seekers" on us - only the BNP can sort it out.

I don't know what the problem is where you're at. Perhaps you're being too picking about the apartments you wish to rent.

I can only think that the population is getting bigger and there is less construction of houses.
