my wife is asthmatic and has a peak flow of 300 is this good

Depends on her ages, but that is a little low.

It's ok. I can never get mine above 300. When I am sick I am lucky if it goes to 200. You really need to create a base line. When she is really feeling well, air quality is good, no humidity etc. Have her do the peak flow meter. Record this, then when she is sick record that number and when she is someplace where her asthma is bothering her record that number. My biggest problem days are seasonal changes, high humidity, and allergy situations like someone mowing the fileds or going past a cement factory or construction site.

You normally get a chart with the peak flow meter, are you sure it is not rolled up in the tube. I am not sure but if my memory serves me correct 300 is around low average

My son is 8 and his peak flow is 280 on a good day so i guess this is not 2 bad.

google peak flow ,about the 4th link down gets you a peak flow predictor graph. generally speaking it depends on height/ age/ weight etc but 300 is not good . she probably needs help there. i am astmatic and my average is about 440ish
