I'm 20 years old. Not overweight,5'3,130 pounds, about average. I've never had what I felt this morning. I woke my boyfriend up to go to work and I layed beside him on my left side with a pillow between my legs, and all of the sudden when I breathed in I felt a pain start from my lower right abdomen, then towards the end of my breath it travled up to my upper right abdomen. It repeated a couple of times, and I tried not to breath much because it was kinda painful. I got up and made his lunch, and it eventually went away, and I kind of feel like I have pain still, but its VERY dull, and it feels like its in my lower left side now,but I've never had that happen before. Almost like a bad cramp traveling up my right side abdomen, and also I don't know if its cause Im reading about gallstones, but I think I have a dull ache in my ride side shoulder blade, kinda in the middle of my back, more towards my right side shoulder. Sound like a gallstone or something else??

You are right in wondering if it is a gallstone since any gallbladder issue will typically (but not always) result in pain in the right shoulder.

There are many meds (see first link below) that can cause bad-gallbladder-like symptoms. Check to see if you are on any of these meds, and, if so, inform your doctor of your condition.

According to one of my favorite sites (wrongdiagnosis.com), abdominal pain plus back pain could be any of:
- Cholangitis
- Cholecystitis
- Cholelithiasis
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Gallstones
- Heart attack
- Liver abscess
(See the second link below for more info on all of these & to add other symptoms to the list.)

I've also heard of people eating (or drinking) well the night before, and waking up in the morning with heartburn pains that are mistaken for something more serious.

You may also have a urinary tract infection (UTI), which would also explain the pain in the left side as well... you'll need to get that checked soon since back pain with a UTI could mean that you have a kidney infection.

The simplest answer could simply be that you slept funny, and woke up with muscle aches and pains that you attributed to something worse.

If the pain doesn't go away, I'd go see a doctor!

It could be a gallstone but believe it or not it could also be gas. A gas pain can also show up in your shoulder. Really, if you are worried see the doctor.

I'm sorry you have a problem. Can you not do the sensible thing and ask a doctor?
