Why does this happen?

This condition is called stress incontinence. The baby is actually high up during the first few months of pregnancy, but the further along you are, the further down the baby moves, sitting right on top of your bladder. Then during labor, everything sort of stretches and gets out of shape, including your bladder. But your bladder is a muscle with a lot of elatisity. It will go back to normal, especially with exercises (such as kiegel). After I had my babies, I had no control of my bladder for 2 to 3 weeks. Coughing, sneezing, lifting and pulling made me dribble. To get back to normal, sit on the toilet and practice controling (cutting on and off), the flow of urine. Do this several times a day and before you know it, everything will be back to normal.

yes, this is very common. Your stomach muscles are streched out from having your baby and they need to get tight agian. It happens all the time. expecially when you sneeze. It used to happen to me.
