When i got home from office, i saw my cousin browsing badjojo.com. i tried putting badjojo.com from the restricted areas in the internet options, but it does not reject the user from the site. although it doesnot play directx, thus not playing videos from the site, but it i can still view the pictures and so...

I wanted to fully block the site from my PC (from my browser(IE)) how can i do it?

Actually, there may be a very easy way to do this - it will keep everyone on the machine from accessing the site though.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and you will see several files there without extensions. Open the file called hosts in Notepad (you will probably need to select the program to use from a list - just pick Specify a program, and scroll down to Notepad and open it.)

You will see some comments at the top of the file, and probably a single entry:

127.0.0.1 localhost

Want you want to do is add another entry to the list for badjojo.com that isn't valid, or perhaps points to another site. In this example, I'm using the IP address for Google as a replacement. Add this line right after localhost:

72.14.203.104 badjojo.com

It's important to note that you want a [tab] between the IP and the new name - I know it says you only need a space, but trust me that doesn't always work. A tab is more reliable.

After you add this line, just hit File -> Save, and close it. Now any time someone tries to go to that website, they'll go to Google instead!

Good luck!

Feeman's post is what I'd recommend too.

You can also point that site to another site instead of your computer. Sort of a prank if you wanted, but he might get wise to what's going on.

If you have a DSL/Cable router there is usually a place in there to block URLs. This would eliminate the cache issue.

You could password protect your PC to keep him off of it completely. In WinXP, Click Start > Settings > Control panel > User accounts. You can set passwords there.
