The fact is that the ps3 will be so much better and it may be 600 but you will save money in the long run and games are better. Just look at it this way, if u buy the 360 for 400 then yeah, but next to Halo, ive yet to see a game match up like a god of war or gran turismo or devil may cry...these are only 3 games to name..and the ps3 has blu ray....not only do all these things make the ps3 a better buy, if you look at the next 5 years, you will have spent 250 just to get online with the x-box 360, so now you have spent 50 more and u have 40GB less hard drive and ur missing the bigest reason why to buy the ps3...Metal Gear Solid 4:Guns of the Patriots.

I just think that the PS3 will out do the 360 in every department. It may cost a lot of money but at least you'll get a lot for the price.

I don't think that PS3 will do as good as expected, I think Wii will out do it by a long shot personally.
1) It is half the price of the basic and $350 less then the premium
2) The games range anywhere from $10-$50 cheaper
3) Although both have backwards compatibility, Wii has the ultimate classic and anyones favorite Mario and Sega Genesis games
There are more points but those are the key ones. I think the only thing that will help out PS3 to Wii is that it is dropping 2 days earlier here (in the US). I have my money ready for Wii and plan on getting a PS3 at a later date, if they drop better games then what is listed as of now.

Too expensive. 360 has Dead Rising, Halo, and Gears of war coming out. Metal Gear games do get ported so it will eventually make it to the 360. Xbox Live is worth the money. PS3 still isn't running properly (that's why it's getting delayed). Go ahead and waste your money on PS3 while 360 owners get to play their fun games now and online with a machine that is working.

PS3 games are easily going to be $100 a pop. That's just insanity!! It's going to be a good long time before they're going to be readily available (they'll mostly sell out in pre-orders alone)
My boyfriend has the 360, I'm going to get the Wii when it comes out, and then if the PS3 can actually live up to the hype *ahem* and maybe if prices start to come down... again, maybe, I'll get the PS3.

No. The games are great and all but it seems to me that very few of them will support the functionallity of the PS3 controller. I'm getting a Wii (this Christmas) and then an Xbox 360 (if I have enough money for it).

PS3 is over hyped and will fail majorly in the market. When you can get a 360 and a Wii for the same amount... it is stupid to waste money buy a PS3
