You have to share at least one common wall with a neighbor. There are some townhome communities that have very strict rules and regulations.
p.s. Look for a community that has a high percentage of owners who actually live there, places with a lot of renters are less desirable.

The disadvantages are you probably won't be able to garden, you won't be able to paint the exterior a color you like. You might have noisy neighbors. It cost extra besides your mortgage payment.

You lose the windows on two sides; Annoying neighbors are really close; you may have to cooperate on things like fences, roof repairs & painting.

u have to abide by their rules and need permission to do anything out side of ur walls if u don't mind that then go for it
