Oh, speaking. I was going to really go off on a wild story. OK, speaking, somewhat tame but anyway. I love it. With the caveat that I have full knowledge of what I am speaking about. It is all a matter of confidence. There is not a better high than imparting what I am convinced that I know to others. Akin to teaching. With a good group, I am challenged to back up my thoughts. Now, that is fun. Particularly when I am challenged and the challenge makes me re-vise my point. In cases like that, the challenger may feel he has won, but I really win because I have been forced to think again. To answer your question: A thrill.

I used too have a great fear. I just couldn't do it. However, I joined "Toastmasters" and they taught me how to speak in public. Now I have no problems. They say that everyone has butterflys in their stomachs, the trick is to get them flying all in the same direction.
