The truth is that if they are going to happen they are going to happen. There is nothing that you can use to stop them completely. You can try using vitamin E cream or cocoa butter lotion to help prevent them.

There is not really a way to totally avoid stretch marks during pregnancy. They are hereditary which means if your family history makes you susceptible then you will probably get them. There are however things you can do to help prevent the intensity of the scars, the best thing to do is monitor your eating habits so you do not gain a huge amount in a short period of time. Also, keep the skin as moisturized as possible, don't spend your money on all of those creams that say they are just for pregnant bellies and are miracle workers, just use a plain old cocoa butter lotion. I used The Body Shop cocoa butter body butter and the cocoa butter stick and they were awesome. Good luck!

The use of anti stretch mark creams is the best method for the prevention of stretch marks. Successful prevention depends on the intensity of the cream. Mere moisturizers, like cocoa butter, offer minimum protection against stretch marks, also known as striae. Creams that contain trace amounts of collagen and elastin or that are packed with them do no more than temporarily attract moisture to the skin and can not be more effective than cocoa butter creams in preventing striae.

Cocoa butter is typically the answer but I believe just keeping the skin moisturized will work the best. Not everyone's skin is the same. Some people just have more elasticity than others so they are less prone to getting stretch marks. If your tummy is itching though, you need a moisturizer.

When I was pregnant with my oldest son, I herd that if you apply lotion to your belly and rub it in then that will reduce the risk of having stretch marks. I did it and I did get any stretch marks. In case you do get stretch marks there are creams out there just for stretch marks. Good Luck

I used coco butter religiously. 2 kids and no stretch marks. My sister used it to and she has stretch marks. It all depends on the person. Just keep the coco butter on.

NO incrediable weight gain. By the way, stretch marks are hereditary, if your mother had them, or your grandmother, it is likely you might too.
But be sure to keep your skin moisturized so when your skin stretches it's kinda of protected.
