It is called uninstalling process. Go to start menu-control panel and then the Add or Remove Programs there u will see the list of all the programs installed in your computer. Select the program u want to uninstall and then click in Add/Remove button and it will start the unintallation process and follow the steps on the screen if necessary.

If you want the program completely gone from your computer, take the following steps:
Click "Start"
Click "Control Panel"
Click "Add or Remove Programs"
Be patient. This might take awhile for all the names of all the programs to load, depending on how many programs are installed.
Find the program you want to remove, and click the "Remove" button.

If all you want to do is to remove the shortcut from the desktop, just click it (once) to highlight it, then hit your "Delete" key.

Good luck.

for WinXP, goto control panel/add&remove programs.

Alternatively, some programs have their own unistaller - just go to Start/All Programs, and then look for the one you want to uninstall, and run their uninstaller if they have one.

Sometimes this doesn't remove everything and you'll have to delete some stuff manually, usually just the program folder. This can be found at C:\Program Files, and then look for a folder with the name of the company that made the software you want to remove, and just manually delete this. But make sure you've done one of the other two above first.

start menu, control panel. add/remove programs. select the program then delete. Then go back to your desktop and right-click the icon for that program. That will bring up a drop-down menu. Select delete If all you do is delete the icon then you will still have the program there.

Just as everyone else said...Add & Remove Programs in your control panel. If it won't uninstall, contact the developer (from their website), and they will always help you out.

Make sure you don't make the mistake of just deleting the shortcut on your desktop. Deleting a shortcut does NOT delete the program.

Click start, control panel, add and remove, find the program and remove it.

some programs will not go even if you do this. you need to remove them from the REGISTRY

For some programs you need to click on START / RUN type REGEDIT
and in the folders remove the concerned program...(PL do this only if u r an expert as otherwise it will screw ur computer)

All these people are wrong. First, open the program. When it has loaded, you have to open up the rear guard on the hard drive. You should be able to see some circuit boards. you will need to remove these with a hammer and chisel. Once these are removed you shouldn't have any problems with that program again. No prob.

Go to the Start menu, then find your Control Panel, and then go to Add or Remove Programs. Find the program on that list and remove it!
