If a building "pancakes" and collapses, there are large chunks of concrete in the rubble, not fine, widely distributed dust. Governor Pataki remarked on this. Why was dust immediately thrust from the building? You saw the live pictures! The plane hit one side, and dust finally blew out of ALL sides...evenly...
Explanation?

Thermite will pulverise concrete

Check the facts. The pulverized "dust" is lighter and carried farther. The larger pieces more or less fell straight down (gravity) and continued to be pulvertized by the tremendous weight of the building collapsing down upon the lower levels. Nearer the top, the pieces would be bigger. Didn't that tower even survive in a recognizeable form? What made it blocks away was the dust, just like in a volcanic explosion (see pictures of Mt. St. Helens and the volcano in the Philippines).

Imagine this.
A 110 story building made of concrete and steel.
It starts to collapse...the chunks of concrete start pounding into each other and the steel...the concrete breaks apart, thus creating dust.
Oh and there were large chunks.

Keep trying.
