They were in a slump of form at the starting of the season not now. They beat MAN U, the first club to do so this season and Sheffield and have a game in hand. This has nothing to do with the departure of Ashley Cole. Henry was not in form and many young players were tired after the World Cup campaign. Now Henry is back in form and they have started winning.

One reason could simply be that you have moved from Highbury. The advantage of "playing" at home naturally comes partly from knowing the pitch well; you haven't had a chance to get to know the new pitch properly yet. Visiting teams hardly feel any more uncomfortable playing there than you would. It may also not yet "feel" like the home ground. After all, you played for a long time at Highbury. Yes, you have lost influential players like Viera and Cole too; and have not yet started to benefit fully from new talent like Theo. I think too that you are no longer one of just two top teams with Man U - for the past two seasons, it has been all about Chelsea. Now you are just one of the other three in the top 4 (with Liverpool). Anyway, they struggled a bit too. And we all know the table will change a lot as the season progresses - Portsmouth must surely finish lower than they are at present, for example

Personally, I reckon it's nothing to do with their new stadium. From what I've heard they could have hammered Boro.
Every team goes through bad spells. However, when it's at the start of the season, the league position and points stand out a mile.
Liverpool were being slagged off at the start of last week. But if they had beaten Chelsea (which they should have done) then they'd be ahead of Chelsea & level with man Utd.

its just been because of getting used to their new pitch. Its alot bigger than highbury( they struggled at wembley when they played their C League games there a few years back) and they've had to change their style a little. It always happens to teams playing at a new ground in their 1st season there. Southampton got relegated when they moved into their new stadium and though that wont happen to arsenal i dont believe that they will win the league this season because of this.

3 straight wins, 2 of them away, some slump eh?
No Arsenal will get better, you judge a team by their shots on target and Arsenal have been racking them up, only they were unable to finish teams off earlier.
This will correct itself as recent results have shown.

I don,t think its a slump, more getting used to a new stadium, whos size and atmosphere are different, but the last few games show they are getting back to winning ways
