applyin for phd in the us?

Hi, im plannin to apply for my phd to the us in biology, Im currently pursuing my masters in UK.But i wanted to know abt the procedures for applyin for a phd and the chances of full aid and grant. Please let me know the procedures. thank you

I wud also like to know if i have to write GRE ? cuz ive written my toefl to come to UK. so.. still wondering.. do let me know..

You need to go directly to the website of the university that you want to apply to and from there click on graduate school and admissions. It could be admissions first then graduate schools. Most universities will require the GRE, but might waive it because you have a masters from the UK. Many will also not give you credit for all your masters. It is also through the university that you find out about financial aid. To find the website of a university, google it, or just search on Yahoo. Usually, it is something like www.nyu.org or www.nyu.edu. Replace nyu with Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Drexel, Purdue, whatever...
