Girls names are always a bit easier because they can be uncommon and still work. With a boy you want something more traditional and strong. I always went with biblical names for my sons. My first was named after his dad, and my second boy went unnamed for 2 days. We had Ava picked for a girl, but he was a boy. My husband on the second day said how about Andrew? I liked it but wanted a meaning, when I looked it up and saw that it meant manly, I knew that was it. Now we shorten it to Drew sometimes, but a good name nonetheless. Try the bible, it has great names. i.e., Issaiah
Elijah
Titus
Mark
John
Mathew
Luke
Peter
Paul
Noah
Their are tons and tons, give it a try. Good luck to you.

OMG! I'm having the same problem...except I'm 37 1/2 weeks pregnant! haha! I'm due in 2 1/2 weeks and I couldn't even begin to even tell you ideas for names. Anything I like, my fiance doesn't like and vice versa. We have a girls name, which I've had FOREVER but with boys it's different. We would have a name picked out and the more we said it the more I hated it. If you don't have a name right now that's fine. I've decided that I'm just gonna think of ideas, not settle on a name then when we see him, we will know. Sometimes that is what it takes. Good luck and congrats!

OK he is what we did the for my first. I bought one of those baby name books with like a million different names it. Then I went through it with a pink pen and underlined all the girl and boy names that I liked, then the father went through with a blue pen and marked off the names that he liked. Then I went through the book again and wrote down all the names that we had both marked and wrote them down. Then together we narrowed that list down to 2 girls names and 2 boys names. Then when the baby was born we looked at him and give him which ever name fit.

I checked the social security web site and on there was a listing of all of the babies born and the names used. It also told you how many times it has been given to a child so you can tell if it is a popular name or not.

Auld wives tale, if the only names you can come up with are for one sex over the other, your baby is that sex. High chance you'll be told you're expecting a girl. Will have to let us know, won't you?

How about naming him after me... Marcus Shane! What about it? If yes give me the best answer vote. I would be honoured.
