Ricky Ponting,Sachin,Dhoni and Ghilcrist.
Ricky is both a batsman and a good captain and Ricky is still younger than Sachin so I think he is the best batsman and captain.Dhoni is a good keeper as well as he helps India when they are in need.Sachin has been playing cricket so he knows what type the bowler is so its easy for him to make runs.
Ghilcrist is the best keeper in the world and he is a good batsman he plays fast when they have to score big scores.

Presently Ricky Ponting for sure because at one end no batsman is performing in Australian team he is standing tall from othen side.He is performing in both innings of a Test Match to help team out. He is not like others batsmen making silly excuse saying I could not perform becasue wickets were falling from one side etc.

I think being patriotic is one thing and to face the truth is another...
This is a place for unconditional opinions but not for your personal feelings...
I'm a Pakistani so if I want to fall in the same stream I shoud say "Inzi" is the best, but I'm a man of my words, and my words are bound to be meaningful, and my best batsman regardless of any premonition or personal feeling is "Ricky Pontng"
No doublt about it, he is the best batsman of this era, he can score on evey pitch you put him on, whereas Inzi, Sachin and Lara unfortunately lack this quality....
You like it or not, but it is true.

Ponting Rock!

according to my information its none other than RAHUL DRAVID,look at the no' of times he has performed for INDIA.though he failed in last sereis & so did pontingbut otherthan ,i cant name a historic win of INDIA in which he has not contributed or a partnership in which he is not involved. And all the more he is THE BEST BATSMAN FOR INDIA OVERSEAS.
its not that there is not a better batsman in the world than him but as u know the psycoligy of Indian batsman "they just cant handle pressure" but he is the only one who is a master at it.

Well i am a die hearted cricket lover& follower- jus to tell
