Here is a quote from Dan Brown author of Da Vinci Code:

"My interest in secret societies is the product of many experiences, some I can discuss, others I cannot. "
Dan Brown

What do you think he is talking about? DO you know where he said this?

In regards to the last poster the question has nothing to do with the book. It was something Dan Brown said.

In regards to a society of secrets versus a secret society how would Dan Brown know of any true secret society other than the ones you listed? There is nothing known besides Skull and Bones.

I am curious when people of good standing make comments like this. Makes you wonder what they would not say and why.

not where he said this. however remember this there is a difference between a secret society and a society with secrets. let us examine a society with secrets first. the odd fellows, masons, druids, eagles, elks, moose, red men, etc. are all fraternal orders who have secrets in regards as to how their members recognize each other, passwords to gain admission to the lodge, signs pertaining to various degrees etc. yet the membership in each of these fraternities is well known. a secret organization is much different and if the secret organization is even known to exist the membership in same does not talk about their belonging to the secret organization so information is kept as secret as possible from the general public knowledge.

He's been in some of those secret societies. Some of his experience can be revealed to the public while other not. Probably some important people are involved in those societies or they are really powerful groups that he doesn't want to get himself into troubles.

Where facts are concerned ,that book has more holes in it than a Swiss cheese. it is a work of fiction , a novel. I don't think he intended it to be anything more.
