I have heard that red does fade quicker. But I got one over 3 years ago and the red still looks as good as the other colors. Everytime I go in the sun, I make sure that I use a high sunscreen to keep the colors and it does help out a lot.

It used to be the case that the red colours faded more quickly than the rest. However, the superior quality of the latest advanced tattoo inks means the red stays as bright as the rest. If you find this is not the case, you need to go see a better tattoo artist.

The best you can do is to find a real tattoo artist and see what they can do to clean it up. You are stuck with the tattoo (they really are permanent) so soaking it won't get rid of it. You can tattoo over the red ink with a darker color, black would be best, and the red won't show.

Brighter colors tend to fade if exposed to a lot of sunlight.

I know this sounds stupid, but my fella has taught himself to do tattoos and he always complains about having trouble with the red flowing like the other colours do.maybe there is something in the red after all!

It works on the same principle as red hair dye. The color molecules are very small compared to colors like blue and black.

yeah its the first to fade, so if you go out in the sun put high factor suncream on it, supposed to make it last a bit longer.

Yes I have heard that but I use Tattoil after I get a new one and it keeps the tat from drying out and scabbing and keeps color fresh.
