What kind of fashoin they wear these days? havn't been for awhile in a bar

When I worked at a bar in college, the women (no matter their age) dressed as trashy or as sophisticated as they wanted. I always think that adults (i.e. not college students) look better when they dress with some level of respectability. They are past the age of the wild parties (or should be) so they should reflect that in their dress. Unless you are looking for a one night stand, you shouldn't be competing with the 21-25 year old women, all that does is make you look trashy.
Anything from casual cocktail is up to you. Jeans, a cute top, and a great pair of boots is always a classic casual trend look. If you want to be dressier, then look for skirts and dresses that are about knee length or so. Not too short or long. Then pair it with a cute pair of pumps, nothing too high as to hurt your feet. And you can never go wrong with the little black dress, no matter what your age, there is a style to suit it, and your figure.

The wrap dress is a big look now, maybe try to find one you like. They normally have 3/4 sleeves and skirts that drape and flare as you move. They flatter most any body type, and aren't age specific.

Try conservative to begin with. Jeans and a tank top maybe. Once you get there and look around you'll probably change your outfit somewhat next time when you see what others are wearing.
