Yes and no.

I do think that there is a lot less monogamy these days then there used to be. Many people today think the rules are different and that its more about pesonal happiness rather devotion. A lot of people are afraid to put effort into relationships that may be having trouble and rather than devote their time and effort to saving a relationship, they figure its best to break up and start a new one.

Unfortunately this often does not work as the same sort of problems occur with another partner and because that person has not discovered how to handle these problems, its on to another partner.

Saying this, there are still some people out there who do believe in monogomy and do believe being 100% devoted. These are the people that I respect most. Those who are not afraid to try and work things out, those who tell their partner things and those who can honestly say they would rather be with their partner than anyone in this world.

Sometimes I think so after watching TV but everyone that I actually know in person is pretty serious about their marriage.

Sometimes I wonder about the people on this site...
