Does anyone know if a CDI College Diploma is accepted everywhere? I heard that not everyone will consider hiring you if you have a CDI College Diploma is this true?

They said that since CDI College isn't considered a "real" college because it's only an 8 month program some employers might not take you seriously.

The benchmark for any university or college is whether it has been accredited. The accreditation process is basically a review of the colllege/university to determine if it meets certain academic requirements. Most colleges and universities are accredited--meaning they have met standards in post-secondary education--and your degree will be accepted by almost every employer, regardless of how long it took you to get the degree.

If CDI is not accredited (and it is possible to run a college or university that is not accredited) then the degree is, for all intents and purposes, useless. Most employers will not recognize a degree from a non-accredited institution no matter the quality of the place or degree.

This will be a question you'll want to explore especially if you consider continuing your education. Most colleges and universities will not accept any credits from a non-accredited college, leaving you to start again from scratch.

I hope this is helpful--good luck!

No, it is NOT accepted everywhere -- and yes, the comments on Accreditation of the Programs of study do apply (if the program is NOT accredited, then YOU will have to start from scratch -- so be aware of that problem right from the start and RESEARCH the program you are doing).

MOST are looking for degrees from traditional colleges/universities -- and that is true. The CDI Diploma will be looked upon with suspicion -- and that is also true.

Did you review the program's offering and see if it has been reviewed and accredited?

Probably not a real College. Colleges ofer Degrees not Diploma's. You can get some form of an Associates, Bachelor's or Baacaulaureate degree. anything below this is a diploma or technical degree.

That is not true. As a matter of fact, if you have a college diploma, people will be more likely to hire you than hire someone else that don't have a college diploma.
