Don't worry about it - my dad has a quote which I love and I much turned to when I reached 30 (I'm now 36). I was moaning to him about my worries of hitting the big 'three oh'. He said to me your thirties are the best years of your life because "you're young enough to still enjoy yourself, and old enough to know better". And he was right! I've loved my thirties, so confident and self-assured but still young at heart. I think these are the years in which you can really find yourself, and start to know who you are. Enjoy them!
Now I've got forty to dread instead!

Of course there is , the ' big 30 ' never heard it called that before , it used to be the big 40 , meaning mid life or about the time your house is paid for , now it's more like the big 50 , best thing is take a look around you at work colleagues and family members , and see how they're doing at there ages , and you'll find there's plenty of people older than you who are not having such a crisis with there age , time waits for no man , we all grow old , it's up to you if you do it gracefully or disgracefully

don't look at your life like it is going to end
it has all but started think about it you were learning in your teens and 20's now you are a lot more stable you have a car and a career not job you are more of a success now you can still go out and strut your stuff you will be more likely to pick up people than the younger folk simply because you by this point are more assured of your self.
Also you are not old until you feel old!
stay young at heart and you will be young forever keep a light heart and always smile (being thank full you are still here)

Funny thing age. When I was approaching 30 I felt very depressed. It was the thought of never again being able to say I was twenty something - is that how you feel?
Of course, now that I'm 56, I can't believe I was so daft.
By the way, my friend and I solved the problem of being 30. We referred to ourselves as twenty-ten. When we got to 40 we were twenty-twenty. Somehow once we passed 50 it seemed like it was getting a bit ridiculous!

Yes! I'm 67 and I'm having the time of my life, I have no cares or worries and I have the freedom to do as want (within my Christian belief) look forward to your 30s 40s 50s and the rest of your life! one bit of earthy advice I will give, Get a private pension now! I did and that is why i am enjoying my life. remember, people are living longer so you will have more time to enjoy it yourself

Nooooo!!! Im 30 in December and couldnt give a stuff! You're only as old as you feel!!!
I dont know why people stress about turning older - its inevitably gona happen - there aint a damn thing you can do to change it - so my advice is sit back and enjoy your day!!!
Life cant suddenly change drastically from being 29 to turning 30!!!

Don't be stupid 30 is really young I'm just turned 46 and still am 21 in my head. You should still feel about 18 at most.
Why do you think you are old?

NO not at all. I'm 40 next month. But i still feel like i'm 30. It's all about how you live. Not your age. Let's be honest most people lie about there age anyway. Except 4 people like me. I dont get away with it anymore. But when people ask how old i am and i tell them. They put me in the 35 age grup. I'm happy with that. Enjoy you 30th. Invite me.

it depends on the life you have lived and are now living, you are only as old as you feel. i will be 30 friday and i have 3 kids and a great boyfriend. sometimes i sit back and when i add up the yrs it has been since i had my 1st kid i cant believe it s been so long 12ys but you know what every yr was worth it and i cant wait to see what the next few yrs bring. it s worth it to watch my kids grow up and mature even if i have to grow old waiting.
