Just be there for him both physically and emotionally. The fact that you have gone through this as well should give you somewhat of an understanding of why this is so difficult for him.
Losing a loved one is definitely hard. The best thing you can do for him is to be there and ask him if he wants to talk. He may want to he may not, but sometimes its better to be there to listen then to try and understand in the first place.
although he knows you love him, show him that you are there for him in this time of need and that you are always willing to be there. That will cheer him up.

An obvious answer is to take a trip to Ann Summers and give him a nice surprise one evening. Also, try to take him to do something he really enjoys. If he's into cars, try taking him to a race track on one of those car-driving days you can get. Also, a nice relaxing break could be just what he needs. You can pick up some cheap flights at this time of year and the hotels will be nearly empty at the weekend

Tme will help. Don't try to ingore the issue, talk about it! Also, try to put together a scrap book of him and this mother(to show the happy times together) Being sad when you lose someone you love is a part of grieving and needs to take place. Remind him that she loved him and wants to see him happy! Best of luck!

sorry for your loss
u should make sure he always knows ur here for him, always stare at him, if he asks why tell him coz u love him...but dont show him that he is less than what he used to be.
in case he doesnt wanna go out...stay home and do stuff together , watch a movie, have a romantic dinner together, i'm sure he will appreciate it with time...it always takes time and dont forget dont overdo anything... good luck and stay strong (u'll have to forget about urself for a while)

just convience him that everybody on eath is coming alone n going alone its 100% truth n everybody on earth have to belive this. so we can't bring our lost person but we can create a permenant memory of them for some social works... he can spend one charity for cancered poor people in memory of his mother or some social welfare for her. but living n remembering of our lost person is always with a million dollar smile on our face cause they r seeing as from heven n if they know that we r crying then they feel hurted at heven also. so keep smiling n remember them with smile thenafter his or her soul get peaced. k?

hey, try to talk to him n make him divert his mind from tht incidence. take him out for a drive or a walk near a seashore or some free space n talk to him as much as possible. make him laugh n crack jokes or even pjs. i know it sounds really rediculous but i can surely say he would b the same person as before.
