I thought that a christian ( if thats what you are ) would have had more faith in him and his power to cope.

Ah you sweet thing. unfortunately we do not live in the ideal world.I do not know why people lie. ALL I can say is stay away from these people and try to find similar friends to yourself. Maybe go to church or something to meet kind people.
