Sounds like you're a Lou Reed fan (his song Life's Good on the album Magic & Loss has a line about bacon and ice cream). If that's the case, his album "New York" is what's good. If you're a fan of Lou, then also buy a Velvet Underground greatest hits album to spark your interest there. Also think about the album "Penthouse" by the band Luna. I saw them open for Lou Reed a few times and they're (very) good too.
