no, not both. If somebody else bids 105.00, your bid will increase automatically to 106.00, up to a total of 150.00
If nobody else bids, and there is no reserve, you pay 99.99
If somebody bids 151.00, you lose the aution.
Alot of people disagree with this, but if you don't want somebody chipping away at your early bid, look in to sniping your bid.

Also, use uneven increments. To see the scale of bidding increments, look here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-increments.html

If nothing changes you will have to pay the $99.99. The maximum bid is the most you are willing to bid for an item. So if more people bid the the price will go up. Once it hits more than 150 then you will be outbid. So the most you will pay is 150. Hopes this helps.

if no one else bids you will pay 99.99 plus shipping if the bids go up to and not over 150.00 that plus shipping is what you will pay if it goes a penny over 150.00 you won't pay anything. It is best for future reference to put in your max bid as close to the end of the auction as you can. If you have use of a computer about 7min. before the end is ideal. It gives the bids less of a chance to be driven up by you and other automatic bidders. Also use an odd number like 153.78 or 148.02 the change can be the difference between a bidder who stopped at 150.00 or 153.00 even.
hope this helps also try eBay for dummies it;s a very helpful book.

If the auction ends and no one else bids, you'll pay the $99.99, plus shipping, if applicable. If anyone else bids, the cost will go up. The most you will end up paying is $150 plus shipping, unless you raise your maximum bid.

basically if some one bids 110 you automaticly bid higher then them. Up to 150. You will automatically outbid everyone who bids under 150.

if bid sticks at 99.99 you will pay 100.00 or 101.00. If bid comes in at 149.00 your 150.00 wins it. If bid comes in at 151.00 - you're gone. Dig?
