If you can replace one member of the Justice League with a member of the Avengers...?

Who would you replace from the JLA and which Avenger would you put in his/her place?

Wow, only three answers thus far, but really excellent-intelligent ones! Kudos, you guys blow me away! I would have a hard time choosing which one is the best. Hope we could get more answers such as these. Hit me with your best shot!

This is a GREAT question! SO much better than "Who would win in a fight between...?" Give me a minute to think.

Okay. I'm going to pick one that I think nobody else has thought of, then I'll give you my reasons I'm going to replace a character with one that is very similar but not quite the same.

It would be easy to replace Captain (Shazam) Marvel with Thor, for example. They are both super strong magic based heroes. It would be easy to replace Red Tornado with Vision, because they are both androids. I have an even better idea.

(I am not going to address the idea of replacing a skill-based hero like Green Arrow with a heavy-hitter power-based hero like Wonder Man, who has little going for him other than strength. That would be unbalanced.)

I would replace Atom with Hank Pym. They both shrink, but Hank also has the power to grow, and has done so in the past. That aspect of his power could easily be revived and expanded upon. In addition to that, I like what has been shown that Hank can literally carry with him tons of tools, weapons, equipment, supplies, etc., as long as he carries it in shrunken form. That makes him much more flexible than Ray Palmer (although otherwise, I think that Hank and Ray would get along like old buddies.) The new Atom would gain so much more respect from his fellow teammates than the old Atom did.

There are many other possibilities, but this one strikes me as intriguing. There are still plenty of other power based heros left for rock-em/ sock-em action, and skill based heros for mysteries and detective work. We need more real science based heroes!

Drawing on many years of comic's and assuming this quesiton encompases more than jsut the current line up of the two teams, I would have to say replace the Atom with Yellowjacket. Besides shrinking Yellowjcket could fly, had his disruptor blasts, and could conrtol insects. All the Atom could do was shrink., Although he did retain his full strength, but them, wait, so did Yelowjacket. And his scientific experiese in bio-ghemistry, engineering, electronics and computers, was far more consistantly useful than the Atom's physics knowledge.
