I was with a number of people on their death beds. The difference I remember between those who had no relationship with Jesus Christ and those who did was amazing! The anguish on the face with no relationship...the peace on the face of my best friend...had cancer and left behind 3 small children in grade and HS., yet because of her relationship with Jesus and the fact that she knew where she was going..she had total peace with dying...When my mom died...it was the same thing..her face was filled with peace as she closed her eyes...she made her peace here with God...My father in law had no belief in God or no relationship with Him at all...his face was filled with fear ..almost terror..he had MS and died at 56yrs. ...my friends dad...the same as my father in law. ...He had same look of terror in his face he was 57yrs.old... My Aunt died of pancreatic cancer 3 years ago at 72yrs she was close in her relationship with God and she slipped away after telling us all she loved us and would see us again...such beauty and peace on her face....No I Have No Fear Of Death but I don't dwell on it either. God knows my time ..I don't..so I live each day like it were my last. I try to be the best me I can!!!!

Nope. When it happens it happens. I don't believe in an afterlife so I won't be thinking or remembering or understanding after I die, I'll just black out (if I'm not already asleep) and that'll be that.
Which is why I live life with a view to experience as much as I can. I'm not on a time schedule but when I have the opportunity to try new things I usually do~ to me, it's why I'm here.

More scared of the pain that might come with the death not actual afterlife. Most people go on with their day not realizing the mortality of human life, I usually think about death everyday and it helps to remember that cycle we all have to live with. Death is inevitable and we shouldn't forget that. I say good day.

There comes a time in life when you really don't want to achieve any more, I'm sure. I don't dive anymore, I don't windsurf anymore, there's a lot of things I've done enough of, and I'm sure when my time comes, I will be content with whatever I've done.
The trouble is, someone says the lines on my hand mean I'll live to 130 and I'm only 48 now and I'm not sure I have enough things left to do for 82 years!!!??????

I am not scared of death. I am not ready to go now but I know I have to some day. When I do I will be in a better place and I will be with Jesus and God.

Everyone dies at some point....and some people see it differently...
Some people are scared of dying altogether, whilst other (including myself) are just scared of HOW they are going to die!

Ideally, i would like to die while making love or getting a bj...
But i shudder at the thought of getting my throat slit by some crazy psycho or something!

I'm not scared of death itself, I'm scared of dying too soon, that my kids won't have me around growing up. My mom died when I was little, so I guess that's the reason behind my fear.

I cannot think of anything that scares me more. Supposing eternal life exists, it's scary, because wow, what will I do of something that never stops.... and if it doesn't and I just die and that's it, that's freaking scary too, because, hell I won't even know I'm not there anymore, it'll just stop.

By the way thanks, I'm freaked out now ;-)

not scared. i don't want to die either but it is inevitable. it's most important that you live a good life free of hate and doing as little harm to others as possible and that you are brave enough to accept pain rather than humiliation

It's not the death part that scares me......it's living here with all our day to day BS that scares the crap out of me.
