My fiance and I recently moved into a new house with his father. An ex-girlfriend of my fiance's lives 3 doors down. He looks over at her house every time we go outside and will just stare over there when she's out. What does this mean?

She's not really an "ex," they just had sex.

He is very proud of you and wants to show you off.. In fact he is just waiting for the chance to say "**** you, look at this babe that is interested in me" to his x.

He still feels the pain, and will always remember how she made him feel. He probably wonders about things like what if?..
In remmebering those things he may even wonder if things will
turn out the same with you...
( or did she become his ex because of you ? )
( or maybe he cheated on her , and now older, he may feel guilt)
There are many things that could be a factor, it is unlikely he will tell you the complete truth if anything at all..
It could just be a painful part of the past...
In passing by my ex's house I look- ( she's not there n e more )
but I look as if I expect to see her walk out the door, I don't know why really,- But I do it all the same..

Ask him what he's thinking. It may not be longing. Some relationships end up being so bizarre that you wonder about the strange things that the other person did and apparently thought for a long time. Sometimes you wonder how you could have possibly been involved with someone and sometimes you wonder how you could have possibly done or thought the things that you did.

Honestly, and in all seriousness, this is a huge, repeat - HUGE problem. I can't tell you how to handle it, but the energy he should be spending on you is being spent on her. That's the truth. You don't know what's going on in his mind. I can assure you that this situation is going to go badly for you, it's just a matter of time. Again, I'm not sure of the best way to handle it.

In a nutshell, he still has feelings for her and you should probably not marry him. I know it sucks to hear that, but you did ask...

It is probably just his way of letting her know he has something soooooooooo much better than her! However, if it bothers you, ask him not to look over there -- he should respect that. Do be so insecure about it if he loves you!

Good luck!

It means he still thinks about her, that he's not "over" her yet. Don't let it be an engagement breaker, but do talk to him about her and ask him non-judgmentally how he feels about his ex.

He's laying all over his ex. Maybe you're doing something wrong. By the way, why did you move there?. Or...did he choose the place?.
