Gosh, that's a tough one, but I think my favourite is 'Asleep'. It reminds me of my first kiss with my first love. Still gives me shivers.

I have so many memories to almost all of their songs. The best band in the world, and will never be equalled. Have you read the book "songs that saved your life" - it's all about people's memories of Smiths songs. It's available in most HMV/Virgin shops and is really good.

Last of the Famous International Playboys. Doesn't bring back any particular memories, other than I had it on a tape which I lent my friend, and she mangled it. Got it on CD now ha.

I love Panic - it reminds me of driving round Hulme (that was before they moved here)
Also, I think William, It Was really Nothing is a great song of unrequited (gay) love. That's why I love it.
And Unhappy Birthday is great. reminds me of an ex :-)

How Soon Is Now is a fantastic sound!
It doesn't really conjure up any long lost whimsical feeling or any nostalgia cosit still sounds fresh today!

If you like 'There's a light...' see if you can track down a lovely electronic version of it by Schneider Tm vs. KPT Michi Gan - it's renamed 'the light 3000'.
'Stop me if you've heard this one before' always makes me go wobbly!
