why a man drowns (when he doesn't know swimming) and why will he float when he dies?

I read it somewhere before that if a person dies in water and his body starts decomposing in water, the body gets bloated up and the bacteria releases some kind of air. So the body floats.

Many people who drown in water don't know how to swim and panic. Men (who have less natural body fat then women) often need to hold a deep breath to be even slightly buoyant. Swimming instructors can demonstrate that a man's body can be safely supported in water by a mere strand of yarn! This amount of force can be easily produced by movement of the hands and feet as in treading water. Without treading, a man can take a deep breath of air and bob under the surface. When he bobs back to the surface he can quickly exhale and take a fresh breath to continue the cycle. Unfortunately, a man in a pond or lake (or the sea) may also have waves crashing on his face causing further panic. Learning the dog paddle or breast stroke can prevent drowning and are more restful for a long swim than the crawl stroke. A little confidence ends (or diminishes) fear of water saving lives. Usually it is safer to stay with a capsized but floating boat than to swim to shore. All boats should have life preservers.

Dead men float depending on how much gas (voids) there are in their bodies. It doesn't take much. Considerable gas (from decomposition) has even brought up a man and his cement shoes!

When a person first drowns he actually sinks. That's why people who drown in swimming pools are always found at the bottom. However if left long enough to decompose, the bacteria doing the decomposition produce methane gas which is lighter than air. BTW methane gas can be found in farts. Thats why bodies that have been in the water for a while are bloated and floating.

Water displaces air in the alveoli. Many times will not float. Lake Superior does not give up the dead, because the water is so cold. If the internal bacteria can grow because of the right temperatures of the water etc, then it may float. Oddly enough, you can drown in a cup of water you don't have to be swimming.

The Reason behind is, the only part of our body which will not float when a human being is alive is his Head , all other parts float in water & that the reason we panic & drown is becoz our head go inside water & we are not able to breathe.
Once we are dead it is natural to float but the head will still be a little lowers then the body as the water is filled inside all body party further making us float but head remains submerged under the water surface...

because when he has been underwater for too long, insufficient ammounts of air reach the brain, causing defficiency in some parts. and if it lasts too long could lead to death.
