Depends on the shoe, the outfit, and where I'm interviewing at.
Platforms, stilettos, and overly open sandals are a no-no for work, they tend to look trampy. But a 3" heel can look great with a skirt or dress.
Boots should only be worn under long pants or a long skirt to help hide the shaft. A knee length or shorter skirt/dress isn't appropriate with boots for work, unless work is a bar/club.
If I was interviewing at Burger King, then obviously I wouldn't wear anything but sneakers, but if it was an office job, then I would wear the heels or other dress shoes.

Wearing heels with the right outfit can look very professional for a job interview. Make sure if you are going to do alot of walking though, that they are comfortable.

I would never go to an interview without heels. I think that in the professional work it gives a more polished look. Watch "What Not To Wear" they are always preaching to wear heels.

I have black boots with heels that I wear with slacks or a longer skirt.

I personally, would not wear anything above a 3" heal to work in an office or an interview. Comfort and style and professionalism are required when attending an interview. I know its sterotypical, I am a woman and work in an office, but we have one lady to trotters around in shoes she cant walk in, hunched over, slips on everything and we can all hear her before she comes around the corner. Both us ladies and male colleagues appear to think the same.....over the top for work, but ok for a night out.

I prefer to wear an inch high heeled shoes because that's the standard dress code for a job interview here in the Philippines (I just take it from my friend who is a store manager from a prestige fastfood company). Nevertheless, I wouldn't engage myself to wear anything that makes me uncomfortable and would probably failed me to my future job and career. :)

I would wear boots in winter and heels during any other season...then again, i'm a flats fan, so i'd wear a cute pair of pointy flats (maybe with a kitten heel)

I feel more confident in heals so I would wear them. I would prefer shoes for an interview over boots, they are more conventional and that is good for an interview where it is important for your personality to shine over your fashion choices.
