First of all, the Christians (by which I assume you mean the West), are _not_ attacking 65 percent of the Muslim word! Just look at a global map of conflicts and you will see that your assertion is not valid.
Secondly, the hijackers of the 9/11 airliners which flew into the WTC and the Pentagon, were not only identified in several irrefutable ways as Muslims (mainly Saudi Arabians), but the responsibilty for the attacks was claimed by senior members of Al Queda. You can't get much better proof than that, surely?
Regarding the 'barbaric acts' in Iraq, then I can sort of see what you are getting at. However, I think you'd have to admit that, though the Abu Graibh regime, and the unforgiveable acts of murder by individual soldiers were shameful, the Coalition forces do not have a policy of barbarism per se. In other words, they are not told to go out and act like modern day Ghengis Khan warriors.
However, I agree with you that the killing of so many ordinary Iraqis has been shameful, but (and this is a _very_ important point), since the invasion of Iraq ended, the majority of Iraqis have been killed by Iraqis - in other words, Muslims are slaughtering other Muslims every day on an almost industrial scale. (The US led Coalition invasion of Iraq is itself a very controversial matter, based as it was on a string of utter lies.)
Regarding Afghanistan, then since Al Queda admitted it had carried out the 9/11 attacks on America, and that it had training grounds for its followers in that country, then I think you will agree that the USA was justified in attacking Afghanistan and driving out the Taliban.
[NB Even Iran's leaders called the Taliban (quote) 'Stone Age men', with their backward thinking, distorted and viscious form of Islam, so the ordinary Afghanis (especially the supressed women) were probabaly delighted that the Taliban were driven out).]
The main problem in the current world wide conflict of opinion between Islam and The West, is that neither side's most influential leaders seem to have any common ground. Yet, and this might surprise you, I have some really good Muslim friends (Iranians, too!) with whom I would trust my life. They are highly educated and rational people, with whom I often have calm discussions on Middle East issues - and it is amazing how we, as ordinary Muslim and Western individuals have a high degree of commonality in our views.
So why can't Muslim and Western leaders meet on a similar level? It's not impossible. And if it does not take place soon then the world is likely to be split between the Islamic sphere and the Western one. And that will be a tragedy for us all.
One final comment re Lebanon... I was as depressed as you about the recent conflict because I once taught Lebanese students and found them courteous and pleasant individuals, so it made me feel ashamed that Western nations did not do more to bring the attack to an earlier end. But you must also try to see things from Israel's point of view, with rockets killing people in a similar indiscriminate manner.
I hope you will now understand that not all Westerners are anti Muslim, but in view of recent world events, you might be able to understand that a lot of Westerners, especially Americans, are that way inclined.
After all, one prominent Egyptian journalist a few months ago said that Muslims must acknowledge that (quote) "Although not all Muslims are terrorists, nearly all terrorists are Muslims". Even my Iranian friends accept that man's assertion.

Go back in history......if we Christians have to apologise for anything, let's start with the crusades.
They've proven that the fellows that attacked the twin towers were in fact Muslim and Muslim factions have in fact, taken responsibility for it but they were extremeists just like some "Christian" fundimentalists.
What good will an apology do? Restitution is in order.
If you want to view it as Muslims vs Christians then The Muslims owe the Christians the cost of rebuilding the World Trade Center and 4 airplanes. The Christians owe the Muslims the cost of rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan. We'll leave the cost of rebuilding Lebanon to Israel and Hezbollah (Iran).

Sweetillusions. Appropriate name for someone who would ask a question like this.
Either you have your "tongue in your cheek" or are under the influence of some religious brain washing.
You have mixed enough near facts with misinformation to make it impossible to figure out which is the case.
Paulisfree is right on with his call for an apology from "Christians" for the invasion and conquest of this hemisphere. About 60,000,000 native people lost their lives in that little episode of modern "Christian" history. No sincere apologies to date from anybody!!!
Crux is apologies are in order from all those who believe in and act upon the premise that "my God is the only God and my way is the only way".and use violence to impose that belief on others. Most, if not all of these believers, wind up using terrorist tactics to impose their will.
So, if you belong to one of those groups: ARE U NOT THE REAL TERRORIST?????

History dictates that Misguided Mooselimb Moronic Misfits AKA Terrorists, have been, currently are, and will continue their political agenda to force the entire populous of the world to convert to their twisted political extremism or kill all those that do not comply, and bear in mind that the Terrorists version of Izlamb is not the so-called religion of peace, in fact it's not a religion at all, it's a political agenda.

Why should Christians say sorry?
A true Christian does not judge, does not get involved with mans' politics, or government, and does not sanction violence.
A true Christian would forgive all those who do these things, and extend a hand to help with resolving the issues, instead of fueling the fire with words they know will be argued against.
A true Christian would realize the rights of others to believe as they wish, and know that Their idea of God was to forgive them as they would forgive others.
I have not seen a Christian in years, and in fact, think most " CHRISTIANS " are as bad as the terrorist they persecute. These Christians use their Government to kill because they can't do it themselves.

Richard J's answer shows the ignorance of all these neocon supporters who seem to think history began on sept 11th 2001. doesn't he know that the USA had military bases in more than 100 countries, the CIA was involved in overthrowing democracies in the muslim world and propping up dictatorships that use torture and don't respect human rights?
Christians in general don't need to apologise just as muslims don't for terrorism. however, particular "Christians" ie Bush et al. do need to apologise (though it'd be insufficient for 100,00o0 deaths)

No, Christians need to band together and wipe muslims off the face of the earth. Not only are muslims the more evil and violent, but as your question shows, most are unable to confess the truth to themselves.
P.S> if you muslims had left us alone and not attacked us first, we wouldn't be in your crappy 3rd world countries. I fo one would have been happier if we had just bombed all your cities to dust and then dropped all the chemical and bio agents we are storing on your kids.

No! I don't have to apologize to anyone! I did nothing! There you go judging me with the majority.
Everyone on this planet has a right to believe what they want to believe. whom are you to demand anything from me as a christian? Don't try to sweep my porch until you sweep your own.
