I think it's possible to believe in God and not be religious. My interpretation of "God" is your spirit, your will power, your strength within, that conquers life's trials and tribulations.
God is believing in yourself, God is the compassion shown to others, God is optimism.
As for a place in your life? GOD I hope so!

For those who do not believe that God has a place in their lives, there is actually no such thing, because GOD IS LIFE. The concepts are synonymous, one and the same. There is no life without God and there is no God without life. I'm not preaching, I'm just stating a fact. People not believing in this fact don't make it stop being a fact. Remember, there was a time when everyone believed the world was flat. Did it suddenly become a sphere at the moment when we accepted that's what it was? No, it was always a sphere. Thank God! ;-)

None what so ever.

Religion is the source of all evil on this planet.

Mysogony, racism, bigotry, murder, genocide, you name it, religion is behind it.

Tragic really, when the gospels preach love and forgiveness that a bunch of pyscopaths went round torturing, dismembering, burning and killing virtually everyone in Europe - the Inquisition, what a show!

Lets look at the Crusades, Jews, Christians and Muslims got on pretty well until a bunch of jumped up Christians rode around Europe hacking people to death in the name of God, tragically ironic, as the Muslim world was much more advanced than ours and all the fighting stopped many advances that held us all back.

Lets not forget the Klu Klux Clan, doesnt it say that white is good and black is bad in the bible? Guess that makes the killing of black people ok then, afterall, it is the word of God.

World Trade Centre - enough said.

The killing of millions of indigenous people around the world so the Catholic church can fill up its coffers with their gold, nice! And while we're on the catholic church, how many children have been abused at the hands of Catholic priests? Well, it does say 'suffer the little children', so I guess practice makes perfect.

No, no religion for me thank you very much, It's written all over history exactly what religion is responsible for.

Religion = abuse of power.

No If i wanted to go to war i would join the army and i am not staying at home to do the admin for any god with double standards When i join something i like to read all the small print not just the bits i fancy that could apply to me. I wear a watch on my sleeve not religion, so as time ticks by let others chose what they want as long as it does not impact on me i am happy, hope everyone else is to

I wish I had the faith of some of here who have answered. I used to go to church and got quite involved, calling myself a Christian but I was kidding myself and now dont attend, calling on God only when in trouble like most other hypocrites

He does, but he doesnt "rule it".
You do not need to live like a Saint or attend church on a regular basis to believe and have faith.
I know he is there and I feel comfort in knowing that.

Some choose to live a "righteous life" others are just happy to know that they are in "good hands", some do not believe at all.
I think its a very personal thing and that everyone has different views and opinions on the subject and that is their right. :o)
