I hate getting stopped on the street. I've only been stopped once for a survey..that was the news. I don't see anyone just doing survey's out there. I see the homeless ones and the others who are bumming smokes off everyone. Usually teenagers. I don't carry cash and homeless don't take interact and teens...get a job....When I say I don't smoke I don't smoke.
So answer? I tell them go get stuffed.

Yes, I answer. Usually along with a lecture against what ever they are requesting. Doesn't matter what. When I see their eyes shifting back and forth looking for some way to get away from me, I request a copy of their survey form so as to assist them in getting more answers. It's fun to see how long it takes from them simply walking away to breaking out in a flat out run trying to avoid me. Ah, the simple pleasures in life.

I just tell them I don't speak the language. I'm an Englishman living in Finland so they give up really quick. I wouldn't mind if they did just wanted to do a questionaire but they are just after your money over here. I'm studying so have very little to spare at the best of times.

I tell them that I don't have time because I have to get my 1 year old daughter home/to the doctors..etc..
because it's true more often than not.

I think that pushing a pushchair has turned me into a magnet for these market researchers who think I have nothing better to do than stand around answering questions in a busy shopping center!

If I have time, why not. The people that take the surveys have to make a paycheck like everyone else. People who just panhandle (got a cigarette, etc.) are so annoying...........then when they get a job (maybe as a survey taker?) you guys dog them for that too.....how mean.

Depends on several things. Am I in a rush, How do they approach me, What is the subject they are inquiring about. Is it something I am interested in or have some knowledge about. It's really just like Yahoo Answers. I only answer what I'm interested in.

I answer if they are "students" and doing an honest, intelligent job. It helps them and it helps -- the institution that promotes the inter-action of real issues to real people.

I'll answer. I kind of feel sorry for them, they're just trying to make a buck. They don't get paid enough to deal with abuse as well.
