The first idea that enters my head is government control. Just look around...you'll see why.

It is a negative connotation and I reject the concept of government control.

I love that fact that I trust my partner enough to allow him full control of my life (for as long as it suits me) I don't like to be responsible, it is more fun to be irresponsible and I can get away with almost anything because I have no control. That was all a load of rubbish really, basically I live in a Pollyanna World so don't deal with the nasty side of life, He does.

Boundaries first springs to mind, in some ways it is a catch 22 question.
I feel that control has a place in society and society is a control in its self but it should offer freedom to express ones self.

Here comes the catch if you express your self against societies will then you do not have freedom or in the reverse society does not have control.

Does that make sense, did the first time I said it? lol

I like to take control of situations, especially if someone else is battling. I try to do it kindly. in a group of strangers , i will joke around and try to put others at ease,I am never shy to say what I think ,so may come accross as a knowit all, but eventually it gets others speaking their minds too.

It is good to be in control of one's own thoughts and actions,so I am glad my husband is not controlling.

I sometimes think I overstep the boundaries, when it comes to my kids ,and go into overdrive ,which can be called manipulation. my son calls me "manip", which reminds me that i have done enough lecturing and advice giving ,and need to back off to let him make his own mistakes. it is very difficult, but I am improving.

To me when I think of control, it means control over my life. That can bring out different feelings in me, it is ok if it is me that is doing the controlling of my life, but it is never OK if it is someone else trying to do the controlling of my life.

There is no control. Every person has limited 'control' over where their life goes. You might be able to steer every now and again but the pace of your journey is unpredictable...
