My last period was on the 13th August, the next was due on the 10th Sept but nothing happened untill the 21 st of this month and it has been brown/black blood and very light, around the date i was due to have my period i had bad cramps like it was starting but didn't. Have i had a miscarriage early on? We have been trying for a baby for a while, and i have done two hpt's this month and both were negative. Please can anyone help if they know why this has happened?

First of all... you never did have a positive test so don't beat yourself up wondering if you had a miscarrige. From experience I know how hard that can be.
I have had brown periods before.. and yes that is how my miscarriage started, but I have had it before not having a m/c too.
It's just old blood. But if it doesn't turn red in a day or so I would defenatly call the doctor and speak to a nurse about it.

Go and see your doctor if you are concerned it doesn't sound like you have had a miscarriage to me. some peoples periods can be irregular due to stress diet hormones and many other reasons.try not to think about getting pregnant and it will happen try putting a pillow under your bum during Hank pankie and raising your legs after for about 10 Min's this can higher the chances

You should be asking this question to a doctor. If you have had a miscarriage you may need a D+C, this is where they clean the womb. I'm sorry you're having a bad time of it. I'm praying for you.

Go see a doc and get examined, it's the only way to be sure.
My tests were neg until I was 6 weeks and yet I felt pants, they're not 100%, neither are doctor's urine tests.

no, your probably pregnant. you are exactly describing my first pregnancy .i had brown/black blood, thought i was going to start my period, for weeks, i mean with cramping, also.... even hpt came back neg. 3 times!!! even military hosptial urine test came back neg....well, finally they did an internal exam, and found out i was indeed pregnant. bllod test finallly showed possitive at 2-1/2 months pg.

it doesn't sound like a miscarriage when you miscarry it very red and you get large clots palm size it can be very painful like labour pains you need to speak with your doctor they will put your mind at ease one way or another just remember these things happen and its not your fault good luck

because the test had comeback neg i don't think you were preg
what might hapen is that your body jsut change
but to insure gotoyour doc and have soemtest done

It could possibly be. I would consult your DR. early miscarrages are nothing that youc ould have done to prevent it its just nature!
