When I was studying at University, the Sociology courses were regarded as so easy and meaningless that next to every toilet roll dispenser in the toilets was written "Sociology Degrees - please take one".

Now that I am an employer, I can only say that I think that sort of comment was somewhat over-generous.

Sociology is the study of people, and as such, some people consider it to be very easy and common sense. But if you take away your preconceived notions, and actually think about what is being said, and how people act, I think you can learn a great deal. People who major in sociology can get work in social work, human resources and counseling. I think that even if you don't want to major in it, you should at least take a class.

Philosophy and Political Science are very different subjects. And I think that you should take one class in each of those subjects as well. These classes don't seem as common sense, so you will feel like you are learning from them.
The website below lists what kind of jobs you can get for different majors.

I did philosophy and politics.........there are planty of job opportunities if you have a personality and a brain.

Alot of people choose these options because its easy to pass them but hard to do really well so as long as you get a good grade youll be fine.

Sociology would be nice if you wanted to be a mental health worker or a social worker I guess?

Think about what you want and go for it!

My husband's best friend graduated with a degree in philosophy. He couldn't get a job at anything but a video rental place.
