Yes... you have software to reduce the file size of mp3 songs. Sonic Foundry Sound Forge is a good software that can do this..
..But Compressing the files will reduce the bitrate and this will lower the sound quality. So if you own a good stereo sound output phone, make sure the bit rate is at least 128 Kbps.

You can always change the size of the mp3 file by switching the bitrate at which it plays. But know this: the lower your bitrate, the lower your sound quality. Your mp3 files are probably running at 128Kbps right now. A bitrate of 90 or so Kbps is still a decent sound, but anything lower and you're gonna notice the drop in audio quality.

Hi there! U can use ahead NERO. It's a CD writing software but u can do loads of other stuff if the same software. Using Wave editor (included in NERO), u can trim a sound clip (of any format) & alter the bitrate & save it in the same or another format.

mp3 are already zipped by an set of rules (Huffman) to occupy much less area than the different formats. so which you would be able to't added decrease the dimensions of the mp3 audio information. yet once you want to hold someplace with out enjoying then you definately might decide for a zipper the whole series.

8 click on the box below and select the bitrate of your choice
lower is the bitrate your file size will be lesser and lesser
for eg i lowered my file size from 6 mb to 757 kb by choosing 18kb/s .
9 now close he window.
in the main window select "file\open" and open your mp3 file
double click on the file in playlist
