i get sound in all other messengers ..none on yahoo chatrroms or i.m's ..when i click on voice in chatrooms a pop-up says ..it is not formatted..also i cant get speaker in bottom toolbar on desk-top ..i tried right -clicking nothing for sound ..no speaker ...what is a format ..can a dll be missing? plz help..stressed in ohio !!

you could try going into your messenger window and check if you have it turned off click on messenger at the top and than preferences and than alerts and sounds to see if you have it on.well this info is for yahoo messenger.hope it helps.

I had the same problem and the mute button had a check mark by if. You might want to check it and see. If it is not sorry I do not know what else to suggest but for you to remove the IM and redown load it.

"It is not formatted"? Sorry, I don't believe that's what it said. Could you try it again, and post _exactly_ (word for word, letter for letter) what it says?
