I think Dunlop always had a edge over GOLA for some reason. Maybe cause Dunlop made car tyres. Couldnt imagine putting GOLA tyres on a Ferarri!

Yeah, I had a pair of Gola footie boots in the 70's. They were great, scored some memorable goals with those wonder boots. This was in the days of pre- unscrewable studs, so all you got was on complete moulded plastic effort, come to think of it, they WERE all plastic, couldn't afford leather

Yes I remember getting my youngest brother some Gola trainers for his birthday and he went mental and threw them in the garden, I had no idea they were naff gear cos I've never been into labels, I refused to change them for him and told him he was a brat and would get nothing else ever again, my mom made him wear them on holiday in Tunisia, some guy selling stuff on the beach there loved the trainers so my brother swapped them for a leather jacket, good swap I suppose but he is still a brat.

Yes, I had some GOLA trainers for going on holiday with, they were great for climbing over the rocks and stuff when I was a kid, but thinking about it now they were pretty naff really.
