I know how you feel. My grama got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 weeks ago and is facing the same problem. First I would think hard about my faith. If there is an afterlife, she'd wanna go there. I'd make sure my religion is in good order.
Then I'd write a will. Leave it with a trusted family member or a lawer.
I'd also spend time with my family. My grama only has 6 months to a year to live and your friend probably doesn't have it any better. I'd spend most of the rest of my time on earth with family.
Lastly, if there was something I wanted to do before I died I'd do it. Mabye it's a cruise or a hot air baloon ride. If she doesn't have long it needs to happen fast.
I hope this helps you. Best of luck.

First I would cry and then get mad.... then I would start putting my affairs in order... I would do all my cleaning out of personal stuff and write letters to all my old friends telling them what they meant to me and I would write up letters to my special family members and close friends that would be sealed and given to them after I have passed on..I would probably write future letters to be given to my kids when they reach 18..I would make sure I have a will and the correct beneficiaries are on all my life insurance policies. I would write up my own goodbye letter to be read by the pastor at my funeral. I could say what I wanted to say and have a book made of my life and pictures of me to be laid out with me. I would tell everyone I loved them and go to Church and be very close to God. I would take action and be strong so those around me would not suffer any more.. I would tell my loved ones that this is the cycle of life, normal and I would teach by example. Because I would know I would not be here to help them pass on. The last thing I would tell the Pastor to read at my funeral would be this... Remember me with joy and laughter. Have fun, go eat and visit the mall... ..But if you can only remember me with tears and sorrow then don't remember me at all.

Make an appointment with my lawyer to review my estate. I'm sorry about your friend's diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is very serious, and I'm afraid the advice she was given was very good.

I want to take a trip somewhere I've always wanted to go, like Europe. Make out a will and spend time with family. Also, plan my funeral and everything because that can be so stressful for family if it is left unfinished.

Make amends to those I hurt.
Let everyone I love know it.
Write a will and leave copies with trusted friends and relatives and lawyer.
In that order.

I would put my affairs in order.
First the Redhead, then the Brunette & lastly the Blonde, because Blondes have more fun.
Then I tell my wife & after that there would be no more pain.
