Both are foreigners. One closely worked with Gandhi and took part in the freedom struggle expecting nothing in return and the whole India appreciated her gesture. The other has suffixed Gandhi in her name, knows nothing about this country or its diverse culture. Sacrificed the PM's post yet ruling the country from behind the curtain. Sacrificed the MP's post on Office of Profit issue, only to be reelected again. The very same Congress Party that organized the 'Quit India' movement is today hell bent to bring this Nation under another foreigner's rule. What a shame!
Would someone correct me with facts and figures of Sonia's contributions, if I am found ignorant. (Please do not say that she is the daughter-in-law of so and so and she lost her husband and all that. Many soldiers have lost their lives on battle-fronts and the Govt. has only rewarded their widows with posthumous awards and nothing else.

You can't compare Annie Besant and Sonia Gandhi just because they were not born in India. Dr. Annie Besant was great she scarified lot for India.
Coming to Sonia Gandhi, it’s strange that you cannot see her contributions. To see her contributions you need to have some knowledge of politics, political systems, and how it works. First of all the most important contribution of Sonia Gandhi is that she revived Congress Party, which was in really bad shape. Revival of congress party was really important to challenge BJP (or NDA). Because in Healthy DEMOCRACY both ruling and opposition parties should strong. It is required so that no party takes public for granted. That’s what happened in last elections, NDA was confident of thumping majority, but they lost. Its good to have different parties ruling for democracy. So emergence of Sonia Gandhi is good for Indian democracy.
Another important contribution of Sonia Gandhi is that she made Dr. Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister. Any country would love to have person like Dr. Manmohan Singh as their head of state. Sonia Gandhi played major role in making him PM. Also one should appreciate the way she is handling and dealing with other parties in UPA.
Try to respect someone for the good things they do, rather than always criticizing them for wrong things they have done. Sonia Gandhi may not be great, but she is not that bad.

Annie was a freedom fighter.Sonia is a power mongrel.In which way she snatched the post of congress president from veteran elected was very much disgraceful.Please dont make such comparison.This shows extreme disrespect to the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
