Plants and trees help prevent floods ........ by binding the soil with their roots and preventing soil erosion which would otherwise get deposited on the riverbed and cause floods.

Plants and trees have roots that sip water from the soil so that flood will be prevented and they will have their water as one of their ingredients in food-making that is also called Photosynthesis.

welll...as u all know...when you water the plants.....the roots collect the water and stores it in it's stem...same as with the trees....they're also useful when flood arrives...u can hold into them as protection...or climb up to the very top....(as if ur the king/queen of the world....lol...joke...^_^)....and watch the water flow.....
