Ducks will eat most foods given to them. Bread either fresh or stale is not a good food to feed ducks as it expands in thier guts. There are special pellets available at pet shops which should be given instead.

Stale bread, fresh bread, any bread. I used to know a duck that lived on my local golf course that loved Mars Bars. If it knew you had one in your golf bag it would follow you until you gave it a tiny bit.

Ducks will eat just about anything that isn't nailed down. I feed the local ones pellet-type cat food (yes, really) - it's healthier for them :-)

When it goes in the water it gets all soggy and they don't realise it's stale. What a cruel trick!
