As long as they are not seriously hurting each other (open wounds, blood, torn nails, etc.) you'll just have to wait it out. Like any animal, cats sharing a household must establish a hierarchy. I have had as many as 5 cats share a one house, ranging from brand new kitten to 13 years old. It can be done!

A few things that will make it easier for you:
-Spay both cats if you haven't already. Hormones do terrible things to their personality.
-Put out 2 of everything: 2 litter boxes, 2 food bowls, 2 water bowls, 2 beds, etc. It's okay if they both use both things, but you want them to feel like they each have their own place to go and don't have to fight for food or potty time.
-Get a squirt bottle and squirt them both if they get too rough.
-There is a product you can buy online or at pet stores called Feliway. It is like a plug-in air freshener, except it contains a pheremone that is calming and soothing to cats. It is a little expensive, but if things are out of hand and you are devoted to making your kitties get along, it is a good thing to try. Just plug it into whatever room they use the most, if you have a big house maybe confine them to one area with the Feliway for a week or two.

Good luck!

I was in the same exact situation almost exactly.
I have 2 females the older one between 6-8 yrs old the young one is right at 5 months old now. Both were very posessive of me and resented each other when I gave attention. This is what has worked for me. I make a time where the 3 of us interact in a way that is fun and rewarding for both of them. the older kitty loves the cat treats "pounce" so while tossing the jingle balls for the baby to play with I have the older one in my lap loving on her. The reward for the baby is she gets to play with those fun noisy balls with bells in them. and the older gets loving. Then its babys turn for loving and older kitties turn to play. the older kitty likes the toy with a stick with feathers on the end that the human holds and drag around for her to swat at and play with it is harder to get her distracted by the toy alone then it is for the baby so as soon as she starts playing I reward her with the pounce treats. This encourages her to keep playing. You know your babies best and know what they enjoy. this method will help socialize them with each other.
make sure when you have these play sessions you use toys that are only available to them during the play session. This helps them be more exciting about it and WANT to play when another session takes place so as time goes on it takes less effort on your part to distract them from fact that one is getting loving and its not. Outside of this I strongly recomend a good squirt bottle or water gun. a squirt or two of water with a stern "be nice" when the little one attacks the older one will do wonders.. soon she will asociate her attacking the other with a disapproving voice as well as a being squirted. It takes time and effort but it can be done. Also if either of them havnt been fixed yet I strongly suggest that also. As having one fixed and the other not will add to the problems. Queens are not fun to be around for us or other cats.

Good luck with your babies.
